Your initial letter should contain the following information:
1. Full name
2. Full address
3. Your age, height, and weight
4. Children and their ages
5. Family, roommates and any other people living with you
6. Your marital status (apparently single)
7. Occupation
8. Description of your lifestyle
9. Your character
10. Description of the place where you live
11. Your hobbies and interests
12. Your aims in life
13. Your hopes of your wife
14. If you want to have children with her in future
15. The reasons you are looking for a Russian woman
16. If you have your own house
17. If you can support the family
18. Any serious health problems
19. Attitude toward religion
20. Inform if you have serious intentions for getting married
Do not use in your letter:
1. Slang or colloquialisms
2. Incomprehensible for her words or phrases
3. Don't try to explain difficult ideas. Try to be simple
4. Don't talk about other problems in your life
5. Don't talk about your problems with women
6. Don't talk about other women or other Russian women
7. Don't talk about sex
Other recommendations:
Try not to use negative manner of speaking. Say things positively. For example, instead of saying "I hate ethnic food", use the phrase like "I like simple wholesome food"
Don't impress her with what you have. You want her to appreciate you, for who you are, not for what things you own.
Don't say bad things about other men whom she is speaking to and do not persuade her not to correspond with them.
When you write your first few letters to a woman, you should use in the beginning 'Hello' or 'Hi' and her name. Do not use the word 'Dear' as in Russia it will be translated literally and you will seem too eager and persistent. Just imagine that you'll call her like "Honey" without having any information about her. English speaking people use the word "Dear" in complaint or business letters and it has become a kind of a habit. If you even think that it is odd to use 'Dear', it may happen because this habit is unconscious one and you may not even notice the use of this word.
The use of such a word is as absurd as for executioner to use an alcohol swab before giving to condemned a lethal injection (and imagine that executioner really worries about the threat of infection in that case!)
You don't need to be extraordinary or a hero to impress her. All that is necessary is to be a normal guy. Unlike western women, Russian ones are attracted by the men who have average looks, normal regular job, have no bad habits and adore family life and children.
If you are honest, trustworthy, kind, faithful, you are certainly the one she is looking for. It may sound a bit odd, but if you seem to be too ideal, it may decline your chances to be with a woman.
